Speckled stoneware mug
“Thrown from a buff stoneware body and glazed in my oatmeal speckle, which breaks to a toasty brown on the rim. Holds 12 oz. The handle is pulled, not extruded, so it fits a real hand.”

Why Maker Row
A marketplace with a doorman.
Made by the person named
Process photos, a pledge, and a human reviewer before a shop can list. Three buyer reports pause a shop until someone looks.
Two taps to paid
One-page checkout by Stripe with Apple Pay and Google Pay. No account required, ever. Your email is the receipt.
Ships from a real studio
The maker packs it. Optional shipping protection at checkout replaces or refunds anything lost or broken, no back-and-forth.
Good to know before you buy
How do I know it's handmade?
Every shop applies with process photos and a signed handmade pledge, and a person at Maker Row reviews it before a single piece goes live. Resellers, drop-shippers and print-on-demand are turned away. If three buyers report a shop, its listings pause until we look.
Do I need an account to buy?
No. Checkout is one page, with Apple Pay and Google Pay. Your email is your receipt and your order history, and you can look up any order from it.
What if it arrives broken, or never arrives?
Shipping protection at checkout, from $1.50, replaces or refunds anything lost or damaged in transit, no claim forms. Without it, the maker sets their own policy, and most will make it right.
Where does my money go?
95% of the item price goes to the maker. Maker Row keeps 5% to run the marketplace. There are no listing fees, no ads and no pay-to-rank, so what you see first is what's new and what's good, not who paid.
Can I buy directly from the maker instead?
Yes, and many makers use their Maker Row shop as their website. Each shop has its own address, and some run on their own domain. Either way the checkout, the protection and the verification are the same.
